Alan CohenSAN FRANCISCO ─ December 19, 2018 ─ Kentik, the provider of network analytics for the cloud-native world, today announced that Alan Cohen – a former senior executive at Illumio, Nicira, Airespace, and Cisco – has joined Kentik as a board member.

“Organizations realize that the journey from data center to the cloud is the strategic direction for most of their applications and IT infrastructure, whether they have traditional or cloud-native architectures,” said Cohen. “Kentik’s modern approach to network analytics and proven business results for a wide range of market leaders – from large enterprise to the largest born-on-the-cloud organizations – is a game changer in terms of operations and business results. For those networks you own, and for those you don’t, it’s Kentik or DIY.”

“In Alan Cohen’s 25-year career across ground-breaking cloud software, networking, and security companies, he earned a well-deserved reputation as the seminal product and go-to-market executive from early stage through growth,” said Kentik Co-founder and CEO Avi Freedman. “Alan is ideally suited to help grow our company’s leadership in network analytics and operations as we continue to ensure our customers’ performance, security, revenue growth, and customer experience.”

Cohen was also the VP of Product Management and Marketing at Airespace, the pioneer in centralized Wireless LANs, from the first 10 employees to its acquisition by Cisco for $463 million.
