SAN FRANCISCO – June 1, 2015 – Stealth network management startup Kentik today announced that Jesper Stroe will join the company’s leadership team as Chief Financial Officer. With decades of experience guiding the financial strategy of successful Silicon Valley startups from as early as inception through to successful liquidity events, Stroe joins Kentik to oversee financial as well as legal and human resource operations.
Prior to joining Kentik, Stroe spent the last couple of years as Chief Financial Officer of Agari Data, a company that secures email from being used in cyber attacks. Before that, he held numerous financial leadership and executive advisory roles at companies such as DtecNet (acquired by Thomson Reuters), and Cemaphore Systems (acquired by Sparxent). Stroe also co-founded TouchWave (acquired by Ericsson), one of the first IP-telephony switch providers and Adomo (acquired by Avaya) that built one of the first Unified Messaging platforms for Microsoft Exchange.
“Given his experience supporting companies in strong growth trajectories, adding Jesper solidifies the executive team as Kentik moves into its next phase,” said Avi Freedman, co-founder and CEO of Kentik. “We already know that web and network operators need and appreciate the visibility the Kentik solution provides. With Jesper on board, we can back that solution up with an organization that is solid and ready to grow.”
“With its compelling approach to redefining network management and visionary leadership, joining Kentik was an easy decision,” said Stroe. “I’m excited to help set Kentik on a trajectory for continued success as it builds effective solutions for some of the most difficult challenges facing network operators today.”
While still in stealth, Kentik will be onsite as a sponsor at upcoming network operator’s conference NANOG 64 in San Francisco on June 1, 2015. To meet the team or for more information on Kentik, visit Kentik.com.
