Traffic Volume Drops As 7.2 Magnitude Earthquake Rocks Haiti
According to Kentik aggregate netflow data, Internet traffic to Haiti dropped by 42% immediately following the earthquake. This drop was likely caused by elecrtical outages as well as damage to physical infrastructure such as fiber optic cables.
