Kentik Receives Frost & Sullivan New Product Innovation Award for Big Data-Empowered Network Management

Kentik enables network operators and engineers to keep pace with explosion of network analytics data

SAN FRANCISCO – Nov. 11, 2015 Kentik, provider of the industry’s first cloud-based network visibility and analytics solution, Kentik Detect, today announced that it has been named the New Product Innovation Leader for Network Visibility and Security Management by global research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan.

According to Frost & Sullivan, “Kentik’s SaaS-based network management tool is expected to address the pain points that network operators and online enterprises face every day. The solution can be easily integrated with other well-established network monitoring tools and actively supports more than 40 billion records of flow data per day, providing visibility into more than 30 terabits/sec of bandwidth. In addition, end users can leverage Kentik’s peering analysis capabilities to further reduce operating costs by a high margin.”

Independently evaluated by Frost & Sullivan’s global team of analysts and consultants, recipients of the award were chosen from companies that have successfully introduced new and innovative products into their markets. The team placed emphasis on product reliability, quality, positioning, design and fit to customer needs. As a result of Kentik Detect’s strong overall performance in relation to its industry peers, Frost & Sullivan named Kentik a market leader.

“Understanding that legacy network management tools were far behind the curve of the Internet’s growth, Kentik was founded to provide a modern answer to network analysis,” said Alex Henthorn-Iwane, VP Marketing of Kentik. “We’re honored to receive Frost & Sullivan’s New Product Innovation Award as further recognition of the positive impact that our technology has on our expanding roster of customers.”

Kentik Detect first launched in June of 2015 to address the exponential growth of IP network traffic and the gap left by insufficient and outdated tools. It delivers service providers, Web companies and enterprises a Big Data, SaaS network visibility solution—the only one built from the ground up for the scale and speed of today’s networks. Kentik Detect offers real-time, actionable insights into traffic activity, DDoS attacks and peering efficiency for terabit-scale networks, and can be accessed via Kentik’s public cloud or in a private cloud.
