Join us next week at ONUG, Internet2, or a reception with MediaMath

The week of April 24th will be a busy one for Kentik, with interesting events in San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and New York City. We wanted to give you a heads up and invite you to connect with us if you can. We’ll be at ONUG Spring 2017 in SF, the Internet2 Global Summit in DC, and at our own cocktail reception/presentation — featuring MediaMath — in NYC. See below for more information on each event. Hope to see you!

ONUG Spring 2017 in SF

Kentik will be sponsoring and participating in the Open Networking User Group (ONUG) Spring 2017 conference running April 25-26 at the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco. This is the first time ONUG has held a conference outside of NYC. We’re excited that one of the main foci is modern instrumentation and analytics.

While Kentik started out with customers primarily clustered around Web companies and various types of service providers, the ONUG community has become increasingly relevant to us. We’re seeing increasing engagement with financial services and enterprise organizations, some of whom are now Kentik Detect users. All of these organizations are looking to modernize their approach to analytics across the board by harnessing cloud-scale computing platforms and open, native APIs.

We’ll be a conference sponsor and exhibitor, showing Kentik Detect, our big data-powered network traffic intelligence solution. And our CTO, Dan Ellis, will participate in a panel on “Retooling for the Software-Defined Enterprise.” Check out Dan’s panel on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 26th, stop by our table, or drop us a message at info@kentik.com to schedule a time to meet.

Internet2 Global Summit in DC

While some of us are at ONUG, Kentik will also be participating in the 2017 Internet2 Global Summit, which runs from April 24th to 26th at the Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel. Kentik is a member of Internet2®, a powerhouse in the world of networking. The consortium’s nationwide research and education (R&E) network serves hundreds of universities, dozens of government agencies, tens of regional and state education networks, and tens of thousands of community anchor institutions. Operating at the intersection of networking with R&E, Internet2 defines best practices for R&E networking, and is also is a major source of innovation in that space.

R&E is another area that’s of increasing importance to Kentik. Our first customer in the higher education space, University of Washington, signed up for Kentik Detect in mid-2016, and has since been joined by several East Coast peers. Interest from additional institutions remains strong as we enhance features and get the word out about what our solution can do. The I2 Global Summit is a great place to do that.

We look forward to connecting with additional higher education institutions and research network organizations at the Summit. If you’re going, we’d love to meet you! Let us know at info@kentik.com and we can schedule a demo so you can see for yourself why more and more of your networking colleagues are turning to big data network traffic visibility.

Reception with MediaMath in NYC

In case the above isn’t enough Kentik for you, we’re also hosting an after-work cocktail hour at 5 pm on April 26 at The Liberty NYC, 29 W 35th St in Midtown West. The gathering will feature two presentations on big data network analytics, one by our own CEO Avi Freedman and the other by Keith ONeill, Sr. Manager Network Infrastructure at MediaMath, a Kentik Detect user. We’ll also be sharing use cases from financial services and infrastructure companies. We hope you’ll attend.

Maybe you’re not going to be in any of these three cities next week. No problem — there are plenty of other ways to learn how big data network visibility can enhance the operation, performance, and protection of your network. Find out more on our product page. Request a demo or take us for a spin by signing up for a free trial; within 15 minutes you can be viewing and querying your own network data in our powerful intuitive portal.
